Working in industries ranging from a community recreational arts center to a non-profit working on justice system reform to a tech start-up working with chefs has kept me excited and engaged throughout my career. Though I have not always obviously used my degree in Sociology or my work as a pastry chef, those experiences have never left me. I gained an insight into the flexibility of an individual’s ideals. Taste buds are the same—fickle, influenced by others, and diverse.
